If you’ve got a powerful GPU in your machine, it may seem like a bit of a waste to leave all the computing power sitting in the background, doing relatively little at idle. In which case, Salad, a company that offers game codes, gift cards, and other items in exchange for users GPU resources, might seem like a reasonable way to put your machine to work.
However, by default the software settings opt users into generating adult content. An option exists to “configure workload types manually” which enables users to uncheck the “Adult Content Workloads” option (via 404 media), however this is easily missed in the setup process, which I duly tested for myself to confirm.
In the Salad Discord server, moderators maintain that the adult content workloads option is unchecked by default, and that any Stable Diffusion image generation job is automatically considered adult content. When several users asked whether they would generate less money on Salad with the setting off, it was …
If you’re in the market for a new graphics card but your budget is less than $330, you might be tempted to get an Radeon RX 7600 XT or a GeForce RTX 4060. They’re both of the latest generation of GPUs from either vendor, but they’re not the fastest graphics cards you can get from that kind of money, and I’m not talking about second hand GPUs.
AMD’s last-gen models are by far the best value GPUs you can get right now, and the Radeon RX 6700 XT is the best bang-for-buck graphics card, despite being three years old.
With 2,560 shaders that can run at up to 2,581 MHz, it’s got more than enough poke for all the latest games at 1080p and in plenty of cases, 1440p too. Unlike the RTX 4060, you’re getting a sensible amount of VRAM—12GB of GDDR6, running at 16 Gbps, for an aggregated memory bandwidth of 384 GB/s.
That might not sound very much, but the RDNA 2 GPU inside the card sports an enormous 96MB of L3 cache, which takes a lot of strain off the memory bus. The d…

The Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream codes are ready to collect. For those who haven’t been playing Genshin all that long, or started in Natlan with the latest update. miHoYo puts on a livestream every six weeks detailing what’s set to arrive in the upcoming version. As a little bonus for those who tune in, you can also claim three livestream codes that give you some Primogems you can use to pull characters.
For the latest Natlan update, it looks like the new character is set to be Xilonen, a geo five-star, and then according to leaks, there should be reruns for Chiori, Nahida, and Hu Tao. As always, I’ll add the codes below as they drop during the stream plus some info at the bottom of the page about redemption methods. Since livestream codes generally expire within a day, you should grab them if you want them.

Dragon Age- The Veilguard will launch on Steam without the clutching, hateful tendrils of the EA app
It’s bad enough that we have apps launching our apps. While I tolerate Steam purely as a matter of convenience, every additional layer of software between me and the executable I’m seeking is a distance I’m forced to further stray from God’s light. But a launcher launching another launcher? That’s a crime against human decency, and no perpetrator is worse than the EA app.
Luckily, according to a tweet from BioWare, Dragon Age: The Veilguard won’t require the EA app to launch on Steam. “We’ll be Steam native – meaning the EA App will not be required to play the game,” it says. The curse is finally loosening.
I don’t remember much about Origin except the primal revulsion that the EA app’s predecessor evoked by appearing unbidden when I asked Steam to fire up an EA game—kind of like when you’re opening the fridge for some leftovers you’re excited to get back to, and you’re met with a subtle whiff that tells you there’s something in there you’d be better off without.…
The best modders are people of singular vision, absolute purpose, and indefatigable ambition. Promethean thought leaders who—unbound by the petty mores of polite society and the dictates of the market—use every tool they have at hand to forge new frontiers in technology and culture.
Anyway, here’s Aerith Gainsbro and Beefa.
Eagle-eyed readers might notice that these modded-up iterations of the classic Final Fantasy 7 characters are a little more muscular than usual. In fact, they’re positively jacked. A pair of protein-swilling, dumbbell-curling muscle queens whose Seventh Heaven is a seven-foot barbell.
Is this technically someone’s fetish content I’m writing up on this massively popular gaming website? Almost certainly, but I’m so impressed by both the models and the puns that I frankly think it’s worth it to drag you all down to this level for 350 words or so.
The mods come from an author named FudgeX02, a person of particular sk…
It’s only been a few weeks since a Reuters news report suggested that Qualcomm had been eyeballing Intel’s chip design business and now it’s being claimed the maker of the Snapdragon X processor has approached Intel with the view to a full takeover. It’s a nice story, but it’s just going to happen.
This latest rumour comes from the Wall Street Journal but CNBC has also reported the same thing, i.e. Qualcomm has approached Intel about the possibility of a takeover. Neither publication provides much in the way of details but both remark that Qualcomm and Intel declined to comment on the matter, as you’d expect.
Now, despite the US-based company having a much larger market capitalization than Intel, its revenue and operating income streams are quite a bit smaller. Qualcomm has a fair amount of cash to hand but certainly not enough to buy Team Blue outright.
The money side of things isn’t really important, though, as a far more important question to ask is this: Why …
